       Godwin Constantine’s earliest performance 'Broken Palmyra' took place in 1994 at the Vibhavi Academy of Fine Arts in Colombo. While the event documents one of the earliest examples of performance art in Sri Lanka it also highlights how recent the practice or phenomena of performance art is within the wider context of contemporary art.
